School starts at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 2:45 p.m. with morning drop-off available at 7:45 a.m. Students who do not ride the bus home must be picked up by 3 p.m unless they are enrolled in our after-school program.
Our after-school program is available on all full school days. Students begin after-school care at 3 pm and must be picked up by 5:30 pm. Call the school for specifics on fees, and schedule.
Busing is available to all students residing within a 15-mile radius of CLCS. It is provided by the student’s home school district.
Classes range from 2 to 10 students each. Each classroom generally includes two grades. Middle school grades have a mixture of separate and combined classes for subjects such as science, math, and english. In the classroom, students are often grouped in smaller units to accommodate varying skill levels.
Yes! Our full-time PreK program introduces young children to the educational atmosphere of school and encourages social skill-building while still providing plenty of opportunities for fun. Prospective students must turn 4 years old by September 1 to be eligible for enrollment in the PreK program.
Our facility is a renovated barn that also houses Covenant Love Community Church. We have a large playground and extensive grounds, including a soccer field. Students bring bagged lunches to school, where they have access to microwave ovens and refrigerators. During the year, the eighth grade class periodically serves pizza lunches, which parents can order for their children.
In each grade, children receive biblical training, which includes memory verses, collaborative projects, artwork, and group discussions. We also provide Bible lessons in assemblies with the whole student body.
We provide instruction in Spanish for PreK through Grade 8. Our Grade 8 Spanish students graduate CLCS with the equivalent of High School freshman Spanish.
We offer an accelerated math track to qualifying students. Other accelerated courses may be available on an individual basis.
All students in grades 3-8 receive technology instruction. Our portable Computer Lab provides supervised internet access.
Most of our graduates attend high school in their respective school districts, while a few are home-schooled or attend private high schools.
The emphasis of our discipline policy is on training and instruction, rather than on the administration of punitive actions. We believe that a healthy relationship between teachers and parents is crucial for an effective discipline policy that benefits the student.
