Graduation is the final celebration of CLCS student life. Prior to the graduation ceremony, we host a time of prayer and encouragement for our Grade 8 students and their families. Parents, school staff, and close friends bless each child and pray for his or her future.
Students have the opportunity to shape their graduation ceremony, which ensures that the festivities will have a unique flavor every year. During graduation, each student shares reflections on his or her school years before an audience of family and friends. Some graduates present artistic offerings, such as a musical performance or dance. The students also select the keynote speaker, which is often a trusted teacher or parent of a graduating student. After the awarding of diplomas and gifts, parents of the graduates host a light reception for everyone.
