Winter Art with Kathy Mead

Winter art is so fun to make! Our first and second grade Art classes made swirling snowflake pictures with oil pastels and tissue paper. This is a fantastic (if messy) project and uses “bleeding” tissue paper to create the beautiful colors. Hybrid-homeschool students, who join the CLCS community on Wednesdays, enjoyed making this project as well!

We are all like snowflakes, unique and one of a kind!

"Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor, summer an oil painting, and autumn a mosaic of them all." ~Stanley Horowitz

God is the One who allows gifts and skills to be placed in someone’s life; CLCS Art teacher, Kathy Mead, is gifted at calling out those creative gifts in our students!┬áThe seventh and eighth grade Art students created instrument designs with colored pencils and pastels during Art class.
